FLOWN
A juxtaposition of natural and accidental occurrence.
1. My acrylic pens traveled for eight hours in the hold of a plane. When I began to use them again,
the ink exploded out of the tip as soon as it touched the paper. Most of it squirted out in a single puddle, due to the pressure in the plane's hold.
2. Over time I have collected more than 30 birds' nests. They had belonged to crows, robins, bushtits, perhaps a hawk. Robins, stellar jays, house finches and hummingbirds. Nests and unhatched eggs had clearly been abandoned - no birds were unhoused.
Flight, fleeing, flow, flown.
