THE TONGUE

Poems and text by award-winning poet Molly Tenenbaum, artist's book by Ellen Ziegler. Illuminated with historic images and ephemera from Molly's grandparents, ventriloquists on the vaudeville circuit in the early 1900s, this book of poems plays with ventriloquial metaphors of voice and breath.

Acquired in 2018 by the New York Public Library Artist's Books Collection, 2019 by the Artist Books Collection at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. and in 2020 by the Whatcom Museum, Bellingham, Washington.

Limited edition: 21 individual two-sided poem pages. 20 copies, signed and numbered.
